An 81-year-old Nashville man has been arrested after he allegedly stabbed his daughter multiple times outside their home during an argument, according to authorities.

Around 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 27, officers responded to a home in Nashville regarding a call for a domestic disturbance, according to an arrest warrant obtained by WZTV.

Officers reportedly found the victim with stab wounds to her chest, lower neck and cheek, the arrest report shows.

She was transported to a local hospital where she was stabilized with serious injuries, officials said.

The victim’s father, identified as Allen Seay, was detained at the scene until investigators arrived. Investigators spoke with multiple witnesses on the scene, who provided them with video of the stabbing, according to police.

Investigators claimed the video allegedly shows the father and daughter in a verbal dispute that escalates into a physical fight after Seay allegedly grabbs his daughter’s head and pulls her to the ground, the arrest warrant states.

Seay then allegedly hits her in the face multiple times before he then goes inside the home and grabbs a knife, officials said.

He then returned outside and allegedly starts to stab his daughter repeatedly, court documents state.

When talking with investigators, officials said Seay allegedly claimed he intentionally grabbed the weapon, but he didn’t know why and that the fight escalated because of “everything that had been building up” and he would do it again if given the chance.

Seay was arrested and charged with attempted criminal homicide, officials said. He was being held on a $500,000 bond.
