The man has been identified as Sean Steiner. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has said he was earlier seen hiking in the area wearing gloves, carrying a duffel bag, a step stool, and a rifle. He was also wearing protective gear.
Shortly after, deputies spotted him running through traffic, and that’s when they stepped in to arrest him. Authorities revealed that Steiner had a loaded semi-automatic, short-barreled rifle with a round already chambered and a magazine fully loaded. He also had a loaded revolver.
The rifle was painted green and purple in a “Joker”- style appearance. It also had some phrases like, “Why so serious?” and “Let’s put a smile on that face.”
Steiner was found with more weapons. According to authorities, he had more firepower, including an AR-style pistol that had an orange tip, resembling a toy gun, two loaded handguns, extra ammunition, high-capacity magazines, and a ballistic vest.

Deputies said that the man admitted to firing one of his pistols in a nearby landslide area before he was arrested. Steiner claimed that he was just trying to “get some anger out.”
The caller has been praised by the police. They also credited the arrest to the “See Something, Say Something” initiative, where authorities encourage people to report any potentially dangerous situation.
Another incident occurred near Trump’s Rancho Palos Verdes site. In March, a “No Kings” rally was organized there, and it ended up in chaos after protestors and authorities clashed.
