Man Allegedly Admitted He Murdered Fishing Buddy Who ‘Summoned Bigfoot To Come And Kill Him’: Sheriff

A murder suspect in Oklahoma is accused of killing a fishing buddy he claimed threatened to sic Bigfoot on him, authorities said.
On the afternoon of July 9, the Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call near Ada about a man possibly connected to an alleged murder.
At the scene, deputies said Larry Sanders, 53, allegedly admitted to a family member and later to authorities that he murdered a friend, Jimmy Knighten, KTUL reported.
Sanders “appeared to be under the influence of something, so his statement was that Mr. Knighten had summoned 'Bigfoot' to come and kill him, and that's why he had to kill Mr. Knighten,” Pontotoc County Sheriff John Christian said, according to the station.
The victim’s body was located the following day.
“You still have to prove all the elements of the crime, and what the suspect is telling you, you have to prove that that’s actually what happened,” Christian said.
An autopsy is scheduled to determine the manner and cause of Knighten’s death.
