Bryan Kohberger declined to enter a plea to the charges in the quadruple murder case of the University of Idaho students, according to officials.
As Front Page Detectives previously reported, Kohberger, 28, was indicted by a grand jury on May 17 on four counts of first-degree murder and one count of burglary.
On May 22, he declined to enter a plea to the charges, electing to “stand silent” during the first step in what promises to be a lengthy legal process, the New York Times reported.
Judge John C. Judge said he would enter a not guilty plea for Kohberger, according to the New York Times. Kohberger has said through a lawyer in the past that he expects to be exonerated.
