After an investigation, police said Jordan Vallagi, 22, was the person who provided the fentanyl to the victim. Vallagi was arrested on Sept. 15 and is being held at the Broward County Main Jail, Local 10 reported.

Vallagi faces charges of murder resulting from the distribution of a controlled substance, possession of fentanyl, possession of heroin, possession of cannabis with the intent to sell, possession of tetrahydrocannabinois and possession of drug paraphernalia, officials said.

He was scheduled for a court appearance on Sept. 16, but refused to show up, according to the report. Despite not being there, the judge still ordered him to remain in jail with no bond.
