Last week, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in Florida announced the arrests of Felix Jomar Agosto Velazquez, Joel Javier Ortega and Bryan Jose Colon Deleon. They were all charged with first-degree murder and tampering with evidence.

Deputies were dispatched to the unincorporated Haines City, Florida, around 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 1. A person reported a man stumbling on the road covered in blood.

The three suspects were friends of the victim and spent several hours together before the shooting. But police have not released a motive in the case. The suspects refused to provide information to investigators about the incident.

“The victim was shot and left to die in a very rural part of the county. With very little information to start with, our homicide detectives were able to determine all three of his killers, and get them charged in about 24-hours. Our prayers go out to the victim’s family, and hopefully they’ll see justice carried out swiftly against these three murderers,” said Sheriff Grady Judd.
