A second suspect is under arrest in the discovery of human remains inside a storage container near a Minnesota lake. Her boyfriend already is charged with murder, officials said.

Front Page Detectives first reported on the death of Rodney Pendegayosh Jr. on March 24. Authorities found his body in Mille Lacs County with his right foot cut off and unattached.

Bradley Weyaus, 21 of Isle, was arrested last week on second-degree murder charges. We now know his girlfriend, Alexis Elling, also is behind bars. The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported Monday that Elling, 22, is charged with aiding an offender after the fact.

Affidavits filed with search warrants suggest Elling's brother died in January from a drug overdose, and Pendegayosh may have bragged about it.

The Princeton Union-Times obtained a criminal complaint providing more details on what happened to Pendegayosh.

The complaint says a woman helped Weyaus remove a storage tote from an apartment on March 19. It was wrapped in bungee cords and industrial tape, officials said.

But the new search warrant affidavits move up the date of that removal to March 15, according to authorities.

The tote was placed in the vehicle of a second woman, then left outside the second woman's home. They all left from there to help Weyaus buy a car, police said.

Weyaus reportedly drove that car two days later to the place where the tote was left. Authorities were waiting to talk with him, but he hurried off and started a chase.

Weyaus was arrested after trying to hide inside a building at a rural property. Authorities say they found two duffel bags with a hacksaw, hammer and industrial tape inside.

The drug death in January remains a mystery. Mille Lacs County Sheriff Kyle Burton said Monday no one has been charged in that case.
