On May 11, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and Wayne police in New Jersey announced the arrests of Nicole Tsentas, 33, and Amanda Walker, 36. They were both charged with disturbing, desecrating human remains.

Around 5:45 p.m. on May 8, police were called to a home in Wayne after the remains of a fetus were found.

Investigators determined Tsentas gave birth in July 2020. Tesentas said the baby was not moving or breathing at birth. She took the baby home, wrapped it in a blanket and put the infant in the closet.

Sometime later, Tsentas then told Walker about the baby and they moved the fetus to the home and placed it in a storage container in the basement, authorities claimed.

When Tsentas returned and asked for the container, the residents went to get it and found the fetus inside, according to authorities.

An autopsy is pending in the case.
