A man says he was beaten and bound in Seattle, tossed in the trunk of his own car, then escaped a fire after the vehicle was crashed into a home.

A statement from Seattle Police says firefighters found the burning vehicle on March 16 around 5 a.m. Witnesses reported seeing a 63-year-old male climb out of the trunk after the crash.

"He was all tied up with rope and he was screaming, 'Help me, help me, I've just been kidnapped, call 911!'" neighbor Raegan McKibbon told KING-TV in the Washington state capital.

McKibbon added that the male’s face was cut with a knife while his body was beaten from punches. She also noticed two people hurrying away from the car after the crash and fire.

The unnamed alleged victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries, then taken to Seattle's Harborview Medical Center. There was no word on his condition Tuesday.

An 18-year-old male was detained because he matched the description of a possible suspect, authorities say. But he was released after questioning. No other suspects have been located or arrested,
