An underage man from Massachusetts was busted for allegedly driving under the influence in two different New Hampshire towns in a five-hour time span, authorities said.

On July 28 shortly before 1 a.m., Hudson police received a report about a person driving erratically in a pickup truck. Officers then discovered a crashed 2021 Nissan Titan matching the truck description called in and determined 19-year-old Anthony Ou had wrecked the vehicle.

Ou and his passenger, also 19, were uninjured in the crash. The passenger was not charged with any crimes.

Police alleged Ou was driving drunk and charged him with DUI and operating a vehicle with a suspended Massachusetts driver’s license. Officers released him on personal recognizance bail to a sober adult, the Lowell Sun reported.

Five hours later, around 6 a.m., Ou allegedly drove to the police department in Pelham, told a dispatcher he was arrested earlier and was there to pick up his personal possessions.

Pelham police had not made any arrests that morning or the evening before, so Cpl. Michael Kasiske spoke with Ou in the lobby.

“He determined that Anthony drove himself to the Pelham Police Department and was confused about his location,” police said.

Cpl. Kasiske noted Ou appeared to be under the influence. The teenager was arrested for a second time in the span of a few hours for DUI and operating after suspension. He was also charged with breach of bail conditions. Ou posted bail and he was again released to a responsible adult.

According to the Lowell Sun, police located the property Ou was at the Pelham station to pick up — in his pants pocket.
