Officials said 36-year-old Corey Raymond called 911 and said another man, 27-year-old David Pfleger, “was intoxicated,” refused to leave and was “threatening" him.

Several minutes into the call, Raymond told dispatch that he shot the man, authorities said.

Responding officers found Pfleger dead inside the home, where the victim reportedly lived with Raymond and Raymond's sister. The sister was not present at the time of the shooting.

Officials recovered a Ruger .380 pistol and other evidence at the scene. After reviewing the 911 call, detectives determined Pfleger was not armed, police said.

In that 911 call, authorities said Raymond can be heard saying, “This f****** psycho needs to f****** die” and “Let’s f****** do this” right before he told officials he shot Pfleger.

When speaking with detectives, Raymond alleged Pfleger tried to take his phone but didn’t assault him, officials said.

Raymond allegedly “shoved Pfleger to the ground during the dispute," and as Pfleger was trying to get up, Raymond allegedly pulled out the gun and “shot Pfleger three times in the torso,” authorities said.

Raymond allegedly told detectives “he did not want Pfleger to know he was armed” and that he “did not like Pfleger and did not want him living in the home,” according to officials.

He was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He is being held at the Cowlitz County Jail.
