A New York City lawyer, who was killed in the recent Bayesian sinking in Italy, posted a message about living "happily ever after" along with his family, two months before the disaster.

Christopher Morvillo, 59, was a part of the legal team that helped gain an acquittal for British tech tycoon, Mike Lynch, against the charges of fraud, the Independent reported. He was invited to the superyacht by Lynch to celebrate the victory and lost his life in the disaster.

Christopher Morvillo was not quite active on Linkedin, and it is one of his only two posts on the site. He began the post by thanking his entire team for the "enthusiastic commitment you brought to the table every day."

The team was fighting against the fraud allegations made by Hewlett-Packard regarding a company that Lynch sold to them, back in 2011, for $11 billion.

"This verdict closes the book on a relentless 13-year effort to pin HP’s well-documented ineptitude on Dr. Lynch. Thankfully, the truth has finally prevailed. We thank Dr. Lynch for his trust throughout this ordeal and hope that he can now return home to England to resume his life and continue innovating." Christopher Morvillo and his co-counsel wrote in a press release, the Independent reported.

In his post, he thanked his family for supporting him for almost a decade, while he relentlessly worked on the case, "A huge thank you to my patient and incredible wife, Neda Morvillo, and my two strong, brilliant, and beautiful daughters, Sabrina Morvillo and Sophia Morvillo. None of this would have been possible without your love and support. I am so glad to be home. And they all lived happily ever after…"

Christopher Morvillo was on the superyacht with his wife Neda Morvillo, whose body has also been recovered by the authorities, the Independent reported. The disaster happened on August 19, off the coast of Porticello, near Sicily, allegedly because the ship's mast broke due to the storm.

There were 22 passengers on Bayesian, as per the authorities, BBC reported. Seven people amongst them have been confirmed to be dead, according to the investigators.

Lynch's lawyers shared a statement on the tragedy, "The Lynch family is devastated, in shock, and is being comforted and supported by family and friends. Their thoughts are with everyone affected by the tragedy," the Independent reported. The family further requested privacy in such trying times," The Independent reported.

Clifford Chance, the law firm where Christopher Morvillo was a partner released a statement which read, "We are deeply saddened and still coming to terms with this terrible loss. Our utmost priority is to continue to support Chris's family at this very distressing time. Our thoughts extend to the families and loved ones of all those affected," The Independent reported.

The spokesperson added, "We wish to express our deepest condolences and our love and support to Chris’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. We also want to thank the Italian authorities and rescue teams for everything they have done," The Independent reported.
