In recent years, AI has become a major point of discussion across all platforms. This recent surge of popularity can be linked to ChatGPT, which has taken the world by storm since its public launch. The application has resulted in experiences that previously were outside the realm of possibility for people. u/User2000ss shared an instance on Reddit, which completely changed his life for the better.

The individual had been suffering from persistent jaw clicking for five years, which he believed was facilitated by a boxing injury, stated LADBible. Every time the man opened his mouth, he felt as if his jaw was popping or shifting. There were times, he managed to stop the clicking by putting his fingers on the side of his jaw. However, the moment he took his finger out, the clicking would inadvertently come back.

The issue had been ongoing for five years, during which he also visited an ENT. He got two MRIs (one with contrast dye), neither of which led to a solution. Recently, he also visited a dentist, who in turn suggested him to a maxillofacial surgeon. Just a few days before his referral came, the man got a magical solution in the form of ChatGPT. He typed his problem into the LLM and asked for a solution. The chatbot gave him a detailed explanation about his issue.

ChatGPT shared that his jaw was possibly just slightly displaced. As a solution, the LLM "suggested a specific way to open my mouth slowly while keeping my tongue on the roof of my mouth and watching for symmetry," according to the man. He followed the provided instructions, and after a minute, his clicking had disappeared. Later, he opened and closed his jaw repeatedly, and to his delight, felt no shifting. At the time of writing, a whole day had passed without any issues.

In the comment section, the man claimed that even in the past, he had searched the internet about the issue, but could never get a fix. ChatGPT, with its storehouse of knowledge, was possibly able to give him a particular diagnosis and solution.

Some in the comment section also experienced a change after following the routine, which u/User2000ss claimed was provided by ChatGPT. u/Calm_Opportunist was facing the same problem since their teenage days. They wrote of their respite, "Hahaha... wtf... You just fixed mine, too. When I was a teenager, some kid was a bit overeager in MMA class, and it's cracked and clicked ever since. It just stopped because of this..." u/pointymctest also had a positive experience and shared it on the comment section. They wrote, "It works! clicking on my left side for most of my 40+ year old life - now gone in 60 seconds! Perhaps temporarily, as old asymmetrical habits kick in, now I just have to remember to do the tongue thing when it comes back - will be interesting to see how long it works for - thanks OP"

This is not the first time AI has managed to beat medical professionals in diagnosing problems. Marly Garnreiter, after experiencing night sweats and itchy skin, was sent for several tests by professionals, all of which came back normal, stated People. Though she was given a clean chit, the woman still decided to take ChatGPT's help, who stated that she possibly had blood cancer. Some months later, another doctor visit proved ChatGPT correct. This showcases the strength of this technology and how fruitful it can be if incorporated correctly in patient care.

Despite getting respite from the years-old issue, the redditor still plans to go for his maxillofacial appointment. As per his post, he will talk about this whole instance with the specialist. This would ensure that the solution would not cause further problems and is medically safe.
