Texas Woman Accused of Shooting Store Clerk Walked Away with Water Bottle: Police

A woman from Texas allegedly shot a store clerk and then walked away with a water bottle, police said.
Aleigha Horn, 29, has been charged with capital murder for the death of 52-year-old, Inayath Syed, in Dallas, Fox4 reported.

Police claimed that on July 8, Horn, and Syed came across each other at the A&A Mart, near the Dallas Zoo, where Syed worked, The Independent reported. As per video surveillance, an argument broke out between Horn and Syed.
Horn allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot at Syed, the Independent reported. The bullet hit Syed's neck and the suspect reportedly left the store with the bottle of water in her hands. Syed died in the hospital a few days after the incident.
Syed's coworkers and responding officers allegedly chased after Horn, Fox4 reported. She was apprehended from a wooded area, a few blocks from the crime scene. Officials reportedly recovered a handgun from the top of a fence post located near the place where Horn was found.
As per the affidavit of the case, the handgun was "loaded with a round in the chamber and 10 rounds in the magazine," Fox4 reported.
Horn is currently in the Dallas County jail, The Dallas Morning News reported. At the time of the shooting, Horn was free on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond. She has several old cases to her name.
At present, Horn is being held at a $1,000,000 bond, Fox4 reported.
Horn had been wanted in another shooting that happened a few days before the incident at the mart, The Independent reported. In that incident, Horn knocked on a door, and when the victim opened it, she allegedly pulled a gun on him and fired it, police said. The gun failed to fire, and according to authorities, she attempted to fire the weapon again, striking the victim in the elbow.
"He’s a very good guy, all about his job, very serious about his job. No complaints about him, looked out for everyone if you needed help," Heather Valdez, a customer of the mart, shared about Syed, Fox reported.
