A 17-year-old boy working at a restaurant in Tennessee was attacked by a group of four people after he tried to seat their large group at separate tables, according to authorities.
On July 25, the teen host was trying to help a group of customers with a table at Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen in Cordova, WHBQ-TV reported.
The eatery was busy at the time and there was a long wait to be seated. In order to avoid a longer wait, the teen offered to split the group of 8 into two tables, according to WHBQ-TV.
The group was unhappy with the option and allegedly said they preferred a bigger table and left the restaurant.
The group, however, returned and demanded a bigger table. That is when one of the suspects, later identified as 30-year-old Darius Brantley, confronted the teenager and punched him in the face, police said.

The group left the restaurant in a large white SUV, authorities said.
