A 58-year-old man was shot and killed and now a suspect who is less than half his age faces a murder charge, police said.
Last week, the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama announced the arrest of Myles Hope Phillips, 21.
Around 2:30 a.m. on May 24, deputies responded to a possible shooting at a home in Moody, Alabama, according to the sheriff’s office.
When deputies arrived, they found Ralph E. Phillips, 58, dead from a gunshot wound, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators identified Myles Phillips as the suspect, and he was arrested on a murder charge. He is being held in jail without bond.
Authorities did not release the relationship between the victim and suspect. A motive was not given for the alleged shooting.
In his mugshot, Myles Phillips gave a wide grin moments after being booked into jail on the murder charge.
