An 18-year-old Texas man has been arrested after he allegedly fatally shot his neighbor during an argument over a dog, according to authorities.
Around 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 20, officers responded to a report regarding a disturbance with a weapon at a home in Garland, according to the local police department.
At the residence, Garland police said they found 33-year-old Rontarious Hamilton, a father of two, outside suffering from a gunshot wound.
Hamilton was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced died.
Investigators determined an alleged disturbance between neighbors led to the gunfire. Garland Police Public Information Officer Matt Pesta said investigators believe the argument was over a dog and the primary suspect in the fatal shooting was identified as Isaiah Kellough, KDFW-TV reported.
