Arizona Man Allegedly Confessed to Killing Parents in 911 Call, Authorities Say

A Friend Pays Tribute To Victims Fraser and Tina Turn Who Were Killed By His Son
A 29-year-old Arizona man was accused of killing his parents and then calling 911 to confess, according to court records. Police say Jonathan Turk admitted to the killings during a call on March 31, shortly before officers found the bodies inside the family home in Peoria.
Authorities said Turk told dispatchers he attacked his parents because he was angry about being put on medication. The victims were identified as Fraser "Scott" Turk, 63, and Tina Turk, 56.

Investigators said Turk called 911 at about 6:29 p.m. and calmly described what he had done. He told dispatchers he would wait outside for officers and was holding a water bottle when police arrived. He was taken into custody without incident.
According to Fox News, officers later recovered a hammer and a knife from a trash can inside the home. Court records also state the items were likely used in the attack. Turk declined to speak with investigators after his arrest.
Prosecutors said the case follows a history of mental health concerns. Court documents show the victims had filed several mental health petitions involving Turk, three in 2026.
"We have concerns about his mental health and mental stability at this time," a prosecutor said during the hearing. Turk is now facing two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder. A judge set his bond at $2 million; meanwhile, a preliminary hearing was scheduled for April 9

Neighbours described the crime as shocking but said there had been warning signs. One neighbour said, Tina Turk was a “very kind” person. However, they said, they felt “very uncomfortable” around Jonathan Turk.
"It was just a gut feeling. Like, a bad feeling. Like something was not right," the neighbour said. "I just always tried to walk on the other side of the street when I saw him out, and I just felt really uncomfortable because I have kids."
Friends of the couple shared their grief online. One friend called their deaths senseless and heartbreaking. A friend wrote, “They were the definition of a model couple. They were an anchor of kindness and devotion. My heart is absolutely broken, and I will miss them beyond measure.”
The investigation is still ongoing. However, the police said it is an isolated incident with no threats to the environment.
