Two men accused of murder in connection to shooting in Arkansas

Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting death in Arkansas, police said.

Around 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 20, officers from Forrest City, Arkansas, police responded to a report of someone being shot.

Police found Everett Williams suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Williams was transported to the Regional One Medical Center, where he later died.

Detectives arrived on the scene and reviewed surveillance video and spoke to witnesses, according to Forrest City police. Officers then got warrants for Lloyd Barber and Romero Barber.

Investigators did not say how the suspects knew the victim or release a possible motive for the killing.

On Dec. 6, detectives spotted both men in a GMC Yukon and took both of them into custody without further incident. A third occupant of the vehicle was not charged, according to police.

After being questioned, the duo was transported to the St. Francis County Jail until their first court appearance.

Both men have been charged with first-degree murder. Police say there are more arrests pending in connection with the case.
