Weeks After A Teen Was Shot Dead At An Atlanta Strip Mall The Accused Killer Is Behind Bars

Weeks after a teen was shot to death at an Atlanta strip mall, police have arrested a suspect.

Around 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 23, Atlanta police responded to a report of a person shot near a strip mall on Fayetteville Road. When police arrived, they found a 14-year-old boy with gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities have not released the victim’s name.

On Sept. 20, police said they arrested Cecil Adkison, 24, and charged him with felony murder in connection to the case.

No motive has been released in the shooting.
