Ohio Couple Accused Of Starving 4-Month-Old Baby After She Died Weighing Just 5.9 Pounds, Prosecutors Say

A southern Ohio couple which had a baby at home now is charged with murder, because the girl may have died from starvation, according to authorities.
Court records in Cincinnati show Goldeci Peterson and Jessica Ransom also are charged with involuntary manslaughter and endangering children.
Assistant Hamilton County Prosecutor Amy Clausing told WXIX-TV that the baby weighed 5.9 pounds when she died at four months old.
Clausing added the couple never sought medical care for their daughter.

Court papers say Peterson and Ransom mistreated the child between July 19, 2022, and Dec. 8, 2022. WCPO-TV indicated that was the girl's lifespan.
Neither parent was shown as being under arrest Wednesday afternoon.
