Teen Girl Dies Days After Being Found Shot On Baltimore Street, Suspect Now Behind Bars

A 13-year-old girl was gunned down in Baltimore and now police said they arrested a suspect.
Around 5:20 p.m. on Nov. 7, Kelsey Washington was shot on East Fayette Street, according to Baltimore police. She was taken to the hospital in grave condition.
On Nov. 12, the teen was declared brain dead and two days later was pronounced dead, police said.

An autopsy is scheduled in the case.
Police said they identified a suspect based on video footage and still photos from the scene. This week they arrested 35-year-old Tavon Battle in connection to the case. He was charged with first- and second-degree murder.
Police have not said what led to the shooting or if the child was the intended victim.
