Man Accused Of Murdering Woman, Dumping Her Body On Side Of Alabama Road

A suspect is accused of causing the death of a woman whose body was found alongside a road in Alabama, authorities said.

On Oct. 24, police in Phenix City arrested Jason Bernard Cole, 40, in connection with the murder of 41-year-old Rachael Marie Mixson.

A coworker of the victim, who was abartender at The Juicy Crab, said Mixson seemed upbeat the last time they spoke but noted she may have been having relationship problems, WTVM reported.

It’s unclear how or if the victim and suspect knew each other.

Autopsy results are pending and police have not released further information regarding the ongoing murder investigation.
