78-Year-Old Woman Found Dead In California Home. More Than A Year Later, Cops Say They Arrested Teen In The Case.

A 78-year-old woman was beaten to death in her home. Now, more than a year later, police say they have a suspect in custody.
Around 9:45 a.m. on Aug. 13, 2021, police in Vallejo, California, responded to a report of a woman dead in a home, according to KRON. Police arrived and found the victim dead at the scene.
The woman was identified as 78-year-old Linda Tyrrell, according to KRON.
An autopsy determined she died from an assault. But police have not released a motive in the case.
In April 2022, prosecutors filed homicide charges against Elijah Pulealii, 19, in connection to the case, according to the report. After months of searching, he was arrested by police on Dec. 7.
