Botched butt-implant surgery on wannabe porn star leaves one dead, two facing murder charges

A botched butt-implant surgery that killed a hopeful adult film actress has landed two people in jail on murder charges, according to reports.

Wannabe porn star Karissa Rajpaul posted on social media videos of her getting butt implants in the Los Angeles area, according to NBC Los Angeles. After one of the surgeries, she died.

The surgeries were performed at a home by a mother and daughter, who now face charges, according to ABC 7. Libby Adame and Alicia Gomez were both charged with murder in connection to the case.

Police said the duo would take medical supplies to their home, without an emergency plan. If something was to happen during the surgery, they would disappear, leaving paramedics to provide care.

Both the mother and daughter presented themselves as specialists but had no medical training, according to Los Angeles police.

Investigators say the women injected the wannabe star with a substance mixed with other chemicals that are not traditionally used in medical procedures, according to ABC 7.

Rajpaul came to Los Angeles from South Africa hoping to land a career in adult films.

Police say there may be more victims who received surgery from Gomez and Adame. Police are asking those victims, or their families, to speak to officers.
