A homeless man faces murder charges after police said he stabbed another homeless person to death at a California library.
This week, police in Santa Monica, California, announced the arrest of Quade Larry Colbert, 34.
Around 7:15 p.m. on July 29, police responded to the Santa Monica Library for a stabbing.
The victim — whose name was not released — was speaking with Colbert when the suspect pulled out a knife, police said. The victim was then stabbed twice.
Police did not release a motive for the stabbing.
Colbert fled the area before police arrived but was arrested a couple of days later. He was charged in connection to the homicide and is being held in jail on $2 million bond.
