FCI Dublin's medical officer gets sentenced for abusing a woman inmate
Can prison inmates also be victims? This question arose for many people when multiple stories came from the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California, where allegations of misconduct by staff were reported. One such incident involved a medical staffer accused of abusing an incarcerated woman.
The former prison medical worker, Jeffrey Wilson, has been sentenced in what authorities described as the largest s--ual abuse scandal in United States federal prison history. The ruling closes the final case linked to years of abuse at a now-closed women’s prison in California.

U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers has ordered Jeffrey Wilson, 32, to serve 4.3 years in prison. Wilson admitted to s--ually abusing an incarcerated woman while working there. The prison, located east of Oakland, was shut down in 2024 after long-running claims of staff misconduct against inmates.
Wilson pleaded guilty to six counts of s--ual abuse involving a woman identified as “C.S.” The incidents took place between 2021 and 2022. Prosecutors said the abuse included repeated s--ual acts inside a medical room where Wilson was employed as a technician.
“Many of these women were emotionally damaged,” the judge noted. “And yet men like you take advantage of that. I find that offensive and illegal,” she added during the sentencing.
Wilson’s case marks the end of prosecutions involving 10 former employees who were accused of abusing inmates at the facility. All but one were convicted. One case was dismissed after two mistrials. Officials have not announced any new charges, especially since the prison has been shut for two years.
Prosecutors have described Wilson’s actions as calculated. Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew Paulson said Wilson “groomed” the victim while she was under his care for seizures. He began by building a trusted relationship through notes and conversations. Over time, the contact turned s--ual.

Authorities shared that Wilson encouraged the women to move to a less monitored area of the prison. He told her that she could “have a lot more fun.”He also gave her a contraband cell phone, which she used to send explicit images. Moreover, he provided her with things such as a vape, lipstick, and a prepaid debit card.
In return, prosecutors said, the woman performed s**ual acts with him. Some incidents happened while other inmates acted as lookouts. In court, Wilson apologised to C.S. for his acts and shared that to him, the relationship felt mutual; however, he is aware that there is no such thing.
His lawyer pointed to alcohol abuse and past trauma from his work as an EMT. Family members said he is now seeking help and trying to rebuild his life.
The prison had been known among inmates as a “r*pe club.”It was shut down after officials admitted the culture could not be fixed.
