Man Gunned Down At Chili's Restaurant On New Year's Eve 2020. Police Just Said They Caught His Killer.

More than a year after a man was gunned down at a Chili’s restaurant on New Year’s Eve in 2020, police say they have arrested the suspect.

On Dec. 31, 2020, police in Texarkana, Texas, responded to a Chili’s parking lot and found Cedric Alexander dead between two cars.

He had been shot once in the back and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Initially, police said they had very little information. But investigators continued to work it and identified Jermaine Aldridge as a suspect.

Aldridge was arrested this week and is being held in an Alabama jail on $1 million bond.

Investigators have not released a motive in the shooting.
