A Colorado man is accused of gunning down a 73-year-old woman who lived nearby, according to The Gazette.
Max Struck, 35, was arrested in connection to the crime, which left Patti Magby dead on Oct. 21. The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office stated that Magby was found shot outside Struck's residence, which is located in a rural part of southwest Pueblo, Colorado.
According to police, medical crews rendered emergency medical aid to Magby, but she wound up dying on scene.
Police stated that on the night of Magby's death, she had left her home and went to Struck's nearby home for unkown reasons. Officers allege that Struck fatally shot Magby, who was unarmed, according to The Gazette.
The outlet reported that Struck was taken into custody without incident on Nov. 10. He was initially charged with first-degree murder.
Online records show that Struck is in custody at the Pueblo County Jail on a $500,000 bond and on a revised charge of second-degree murder.
