A woman died weeks after she was run over and left for dead in a parking lot. Now, police say they have caught the suspected killer.
Around 4:30 a.m. on March 4, police in Aurora, Colorado, responded to an injured woman in a parking lot. When officers arrived, they found the victim with serious injuries and she was taken to the hospital.
The woman told police she met a man and was driven to the location around 1:30 a.m., according to Aurora police. The man choked her, pushed her out of the car and then ran over her, the victim said.
He then left the area and the victim lay in the parking lot for hours before being found, police noted.
The victim, whose name has not been released, died from her injuries on April 19, police said.
Recently, officers identified a suspect in the case, and last week they arrested Jordan Howard, 24. He was booked into jail on suspicion of first-degree murder.
