Colorado woman allegedly shot and killed a man in camper, then fled the scene

A Colorado woman shot and killed a man inside a camper and tried to flee the area before being caught, police said.

Around 1 a.m. Nov. 28, deputies responded to the 11000 block of Cochise Circle in Jefferson County, Colorado, according to KDVR.

When they arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound dead inside the camper, KDVR reported.

According to police, Sarah Kalan fled the scene in a truck, but police quickly located her and arrested her, according to KDVR.

Kalan was booked into the Jefferson County Detentions Facility on charges of first-degree murder, menacing and possession of a weapon by a previous offender, KDVR reported.

Police have not releveled a motive for the shooting.
