Dating App Links San Antonio Suspect To Shooting Deaths Of 2 Men Hours Apart, In Different Areas Of City: Cops
A Texas man was behind bars after police claim bullet casings and a dating app helped identify him as a suspect in to separate murders committed hours apart.
Jer Auntey Bernard Pleasant, 22, recently was arrested in connection with the fatal shootings of two San Antonio men who had used the gay dating app Grindr, KENS reported.
According to the station, on April 14, Larry Wilson, 54, was shot to death in his car at an apartment complex parking lot in San Antonio.
The following day, a concerned friend requested police conduct a wellbeing check on Joseph Quinton West, 22. Responding officers found West dead in his bed. He had suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
Arrest affidavits obtained by KENS show investigators allegedly recovered physical evidence — including spent bullet casings and Pleasant’s fingerprints — that connected Pleasant to both homicide scenes.
Pleasant was being held on bonds totaling $700,000, according to KENS.
