A Delaware man has been arrested after he allegedly murdered another person over an argument during a game of pool.
Around 12:45 a.m. on Feb. 20, Delaware State Police troopers responded to a report of a shooting at the Coastal Taproom in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
When troopers arrived, a 41-year-old victim was found in the bar area with a gunshot wound, according to Delaware State Police.
The victim was taken to Beebe Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to state police. The victim's name has not been released.
Troopers identified Edward Martin, 46, as a suspect in the case.
Martin and the victim were allegedly involved in an argument over a game of pool, according to state police. During the argument, Martin pulled a handgun and shot the victim in the chest, cops say.
Martin then fled the scene.
Troopers found Martin driving in Long Neck, Delaware, and arrested him during a traffic stop. They then found the gun in the vehicle.
Martin has been charged with first-degree murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
Martin was booked in to the Sussex Correctional Institution on an $800,000 cash bond.
