The search continues for 84 year old Nancy Guthrie, mother of Savannah Guthrie of the Today, who was allegedly kidnapped from her home in Tuscon, Arizona. As the search enters its third week, investigators are reportedly in contact with Mexican authorities, though the claims have not been confirmed by the Pima County Sheriff's Department or the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
The FBI earlier in February released doorbell camera photos and videos from Nancy Guthrie’s residence. The footage shows a masked man attempting to tamper with the camera at 5 a.m. on February 1, the same day Gurthrie was reported missing.
Since then the family has released multiple public appeals for information. According to a report by the BBC, the family contacted a non profit organization in Mexico that helps locate missing persons.

Investigators are examining DNA evidence from a glove recovered two miles from Guthrie’s home. Officials said no DNA match was found in the national database, and additional testing of DNA recovered from the residence is ongoing.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said investigators have not determined a motive, and have not confirmed whether the case is a kidnapping or a robbery that escalated. Nanos said there is no evidence indicating Guthrie is deceased.
Authorities are also using specialized technology, including drones capable of detecting signals from Guthrie's pacemaker. The BlueFly technology can detect low frequency signals like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Tips and donations continue to arrive from across the United States as the case draws national attention.
