Doorbell Video May Hold Key Clues in Nancy Guthrie Disappearance

The video shows a masked man in front of her Tucson, Arizona home. Investigators believe that this video could give them forensic and behavioral clues to help them identify the man.

Nancy Guthrie is the mother of NBC’s Today Show, Savannah Guthrie. She has reportedly been missing since February 1, 2026, from her home in Arizona. So far, authorities have received two random notes demanding millions of dollars in Bitcoin. However, the deadline mentioned in those notes has passed.

Authorities believe they may be able to determine who is behind Guthrie’s disappearance if they can identify the man in the video. The FBI believes there are important clues in the footage.

When the man enters the frame, he ducks his head, even though he is wearing a mask. One can clearly see him pulling his head down and trying to avoid the camera. The footage was provided by the NEST system.

He seems to be extra cautious of the Nest camera. This indicates that he was aware of the camera's presence. However, some experts also believe that he was taken aback by the ring door camera. And tried to hide his face.
