Elderly Florida woman sexually assaulted in parking garage, suspect was released from prison months ago

An elderly woman was grabbed and sexually assaulted while she was exercising in Coral Gables, Florida, according to a report
Police arrested Gary Arroliga, 34, a registered sex offender who was released from prison earlier this year, Local 10 reported.
Police say the elderly woman was exercising when Arroliga grabbed her by the neck and forced her into a nearby parking garage, according to Local 10.
Cops say a car passing interrupted the crime, allowing the victim to get away, Local 10 reported.
- An 80-year-old woman was grabbed from behind, dragged behind a building and raped. Cops say they arrested the suspect.
- A man broke into a woman’s apartment in Florida and started to sexually assault her. She fought him off with a knife.
- A woman was raped on her way home from a Florida club. Police say they caught her attacker.
Detectives say the suspect chased the victim for a block, according to Local 10.
Police identified Arroliga and put him under surveillance before bringing him in, Local 10 reported.
“The suspect has been known to commit these kind of acts before,” said Coral Gables Police Sgt. Alejandro Escobar, according to Local 10. “Our criminal investigative unit is trying to link him with other possible victims.”
Police say Arroliga may be linked to as many as two other victims, Local 10 reported.
