Two suspects were arrested in connection with the slaying of an elderly man at his residence last summer, Florida authorities said.
On Aug. 17, officers performing a wellbeing check at a home in Jacksonville discovered the owner, a 79-year-old man, dead in suspicious circumstances, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Stinson and Stewart were identified as persons of interest in the case, and investigators located the men in New Orleans, Louisiana, where the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force took them into custody.
The pair were extradited from Louisiana to Florida.
Officials have not disclosed further information related to the murder.
