An 80-year-old Texas woman shot and killed her 52-year-old daughter during a domestic disturbance, police said.
Around 4:45 p.m. Sept. 13, police said they received a 911 call about a domestic disturbance in Kaufman County, Texas.
Once at the scene, officers said they found Connie Lynn Helms, 52, dead from an apparent gunshot wound to her shoulder.
Her body was taken to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office, inForney reported.
Investigators have not said what led to the shooting.
A judge set Johnston’s bond at $1 million during her arraignment hearing, authorities said.
Officials said the investigation is still ongoing.
