CDL Truck Driver Missing While Transporting Vehicles

According to the FBI’s latest bulletin on social media and its official website, Alejandro Jacomino Gonzalez stopped at a truck shop on the day he went missing. He stayed there for a couple of hours, which was later confirmed through the truck’s GPS tracking system.

Gonzalez then traveled south for some time before taking an unexpected northbound exit toward Jacksonville. A few hours later, he could no longer be reached, and his truck was reported missing.

Authorities searching on April 17 located the missing truck. It had been abandoned near Port Wentworth and, upon inspection, was found empty. The multiple vehicles being transported on the hauler were missing.

Later, three of those vehicles were found in Florida. But the remaining vehicles, as well as Gonzalez himself, remain missing.

FBI Issues Lookout Notice For Missing CDL Driver

Given the mysterious circumstances of Gonzalez’s disappearance, the FBI has issued a bulletin. The agency described the truck driver as wanted for questioning and invited anyone with relevant information who may have seen him or the remaining vehicles to come forward.

The department wrote on its website, “The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Tampa Field Office in Florida is investigating the suspicious disappearance of Alejandro Jacomino Gonzalez and is asking for the public’s assistance in locating him.”

The FBI requested assistance and asked for photos and videos captured around the Brevard County Rest Area in Grant-Valkaria, Florida. His suspected disappearance is believed to have occurred around April 17, specifically between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m. that day.

The investigating agency has also provided a physical description of Gonzalez. He is a Hispanic man of Cuban descent who is 5 feet, 11 inches tall. In the attached photo of the missing person, Gonzalez is shown with a brown beard and mustache.

Additionally, the FBI listed other identifying marks for the missing truck driver. He reportedly “has a full sleeve tattoo on his left arm, a tattoo on his lower right arm, and a tattoo of the word ‘Elisia’ on his right forearm.”

In its closing statement on the Brevard County car hauler hijacking case, the FBI stated: “The public is encouraged to share any personal videos or photographs of the Brevard County Rest Area in Grant-Valkaria, Florida, and the surrounding area to the FBI - Seeking information in Brevard County Car Hauler Hijacking.”
