The Polk County Sheriff’s Office announced the 16 suspects from central Florida and one visiting the state from Los Angeles, California, allegedly communicated with undercover officers posing as children online during the six-day “Operation Child Protector” sting.

The suspects allegedly intended to engage in sexual activity with who they thought were minors, Sheriff Grady Judd said during an Aug. 3 news conference.

“These are nasty, nasty, nasty people, and when we go through this, understand that, obviously, we can’t even use the words they used,” Judd said. “We obviously can’t show you the pictures and the video clips that they sent to what they thought were 13-year-old little girls and little boys.”

Judd noted the man visiting from the West Coast, Jarrod Justice, 33, will be staying in Florida longer than planned. “He showed up on vacation but he only needed to buy a one-way ticket because he’s not flying back to Los Angeles anytime soon,” Sheriff Judd said. “He’s married. Mrs. Justice did you hear that? His last name is Justice. That’s what we’re going to get. Justice for Justice.”

Justice faces charges of traveling to meet a minor for sex, and attempted lewd battery.

Authorities also arrested 26-year-old Kenneth Javier Aquino, an Orlando man employed as a lifeguard at the Animal Kingdom Lodge hotel.

“He left his girlfriend who was seven months pregnant with his child in order to have sex with a 13-year-old,” Judd alleged.

Another couple from Kissimmee who work as custodians at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Jonathan McGrew, 34, and 29-year-old Savannah Lawrence, allegedly attempted to arrange a threesome with who they believed was a 13-year-old girl, Judd said.

“[Jonathan] said to the child, ‘We want to enjoy this opportunity, we don’t want to rush. Even at the conclusion maybe we can cuddle a little bit,’” Judd alleged the suspect communicated to undercover detectives. “Are you kidding me? That’s how you talk to 13-year-old children? ‘Our fantasy is to play stepdad, stepdaughter, stepmom; teacher, student; maybe even shoplifter where we do a strip search.’ He gave all of these details before the two of them show up.”

Both McGrew and Lawrence are charged with one count each of traveling to meet a minor for sex, and attempted lewd battery. McGrew faces an additional two counts of transmission of material harmful to a minor.
