Florida man stabbed with sword during fight over television remote control, police say
A disagreement that got out of hand over a television remote control could have turned deadly in Florida.
On June 7, Robert Baker told police, he and Christopher Glynn, 54, were drinking and watching TV at an apartment in Titusville. Baker said he thought Glynn was monopolizing the remote control and called him selfish, sparking the fight.
As the argument escalated, Glynn allegedly took a sword and cut Baker on his left leg and arm, Orlando's WKMG-TV reported.
According to a police report, responding officers found Baker outside the apartment suffering non-life-threatening injuries. They then went inside the apartment and found Glynn, who is disabled, on a couch with the sword and a wooden scabbard.
He allegedly confessed to stabbing Baker and said he would have “gut him” if he had better aim, WOFL reported.
Police arrested Glynn and he now faces a felony charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
