Florida Man Gets 15 Years in Federal Prison for Drug Trafficking and Firearm Charges

Federal court sentenced man to 15 years in prison on drug trafficking charges.
A Brevard County man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for distributing and possessing with intent to distribute fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine. He was also charged with possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Víctor Raul Cordero Arocho, 39, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Julie S. Sneed. On January 29, 2026, Cordero Arocho pleaded guilty to the charges against him. The sentencing was announced by U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe.
Cordero Arocho Faces 15 Years In Federal Prison On Drug Charges
A raid was conducted at the suspect's residence in October 2025.
Cordero Arocho was accused of selling approximately 3 pounds of methamphetamine and 2 ounces of fentanyl from his residence in Melbourne. He allegedly sold the drugs to a confidential source between August and September 2025.
In October 2025, law enforcement executed a search warrant on the residence. The raid led to the discovery of over 12 ounces of cocaine, approximately 2.5 ounces of fentanyl, and drug processing materials. Authorities also found a loaded handgun and a loaded rifle inside his residence.
The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office. Cordero Arocho was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Megan Testerman.
A Department of Justice (DOJ) press release said, “According to court documents, between August and September 2025, Cordero Arocho sold a confidential source approximately 3 pounds of methamphetamine and 2 ounces of fentanyl from his residence in Melbourne. Law enforcement then executed a search warrant on the residence in October 2025, resulting in the recovery of over 12 ounces of cocaine, approximately 2.5 ounces of fentanyl, and drug processing materials. Law enforcement also located a loaded handgun and a loaded rifle inside the residence.”
In a press release, the DOJ said, “This case is part of Operation Take Back America a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.”
