Keyhuhn Chambers, 41, of Pinellas Park, was charged with murder in connection to his wife's death.

Police made the discovery during a hazmat investigation inside a unit at the Clear Harbor Apartments, located in Pinellas Park. They found 32-year-old Chrystal Williams, 32, dead there.

Police went to the scene after a caller reported seeing blood on Chambers' clothing while he stood in the breezeway of the apartments. He was taken into custody not long after, WFTS reports.

First responders noted a strong chemical odor coming from the apartment when they entered. Investigators found a 4-month-old infant inside with a bag over its head, according to WFTS.

"The odor was coming from the apartment where this incident originated and so it is in essence a part of the crime scene. Obviously, we’re in the investigation part of the case so we have to determine what happened when," said Sgt. Roxanne Pohl with Pinellas Park Police.

The apartment was evacuated and hazmat crews went in to investigate the odor. Two first responders were taken to the hospital after being exposed but have since been released, WFtS reports.

Police determined Chambers and Williams were married, and found that the infant, who was uninjured, was that of a friend of Williams. Police are still investigating what led to Williams' killing, according to WFTS.
