A 16-year-old girl got office a school bus as a man showered her with compliments. The teen went towards the man, which is when he pulled out a weapon and sexually assaulted her, police said.
Around 7:30 p.m. on April 11, police in Lauderhill, Florida, responded to a hospital for a reported sexual battery of a 16-year-old girl, according to WPLG.
The teen was recently dropped off by a school bus and started to walk home, according to WPLG. That is when she saw a pickup truck parked in a driveway and a Black man standing near the vehicle.
Police said the man — later identified as Jermaine Henderson, 39 — gave the victim compliments and coaxed her into approaching her vehicle.
Henderson pulled out a box cutter and then sexually battered the teen, according to the report.
When Henderson was finished, he told the victim to go home, according to the report.
Henderson was charged with two counts of sexual battery and Henderson is being held in jail without bond. Police worry there may be other victims of Henderson and ask anyone with information to call (954) 493-8477.
