A fight between Florida teens as they were watching a movie turned deadly, as police say the 14-year-old brother shot and killed his 15-year-old sibling.

Around 4 p.m. June 27, police said they responded to a call of a shooting and when they arrived at the home, they found Andrew Pierce, 15, with a gunshot wound to the head.

According to Washington County Sheriff Kevin Crews and reported by MyPanhandle.com, he said the two brothers, Andrew and Mathew Pierce, 14, and their friend were watching a movie at their home when the brothers got into a fight.

Crews said he was not sure what the fight was about, but things got physical, which is when Mathew grabbed a handgun and shot Andrew in the head.

MyPanhandle.com reported medical personnel took Andrew to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police talked with the boys’ father during the investigation and Crews said he is “full of emotions” and “he will be planning a funeral for one son and down the road, court proceedings for the other son.”

Mathew has been arrested and was charged with second-degree murder, officials said.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
