A soldier at Fort Hood Army Base in Texas killed a woman during a domestic dispute, police said.
Around 8 a.m., on Sept. 19, authorities in Killeen, Texas, responded to a home for a gunshot victim. When officers arrived, they found a 34-year-old woman dead, according to police.
The victim’s name has not been released.
Investigators said the victim and a suspect, later identified as Michael Leonard Moore, were in a relationship. They got into a domestic dispute and Moore pulled out a gun and shot the victim, police said. There were no details released on what led to the alleged dispute.
Moore, 35, left the home and went to Fort Hood Army base where he was stationed, police said. There, he was arrested by military authorities.
On Sept. 21, Moore was charged with murder, and he is being held in jail on $1 million bond.
