81-Year-old Sheriff's Deputy In Georgia Accused Of Raping Woman While On Duty And In Uniform

An 81-year-old sheriff’s deputy in Georgia is accused of raping a woman while on duty, according to state investigators.
On May 31, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested Walker County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Jerry Glover in connection to the case. He was charged with rape, violation of oath of office and false imprisonment.
On May 11, the Lafayette police requested state help investigating a rape reported by a woman, according to the bureau.

Investigators said Glover had sex with the victim without her consent and while in uniform and on duty.
The age of the victim or when the alleged rape happened were not released.
State officials say the investigation is ongoing.
