An argument in an apartment parking lot ended with a 15-year-old dead and a fellow teenager facing murder charges, police said.
Last week, the Clayton County police in Georgia announced the arrest of Ahmad Royal, 19.
Royal was charged in connection to a June 21 shooting at an apartment complex on Garden Wood Court.
Around 7 p.m., police responded to a shooting call at the complex. There, officers found Terence Denson, 15, dead from multiple gunshot wounds, according to authorities. He was found in the driver’s seat of his vehicle.
Investigators identified Royal as a suspect, and he was arrested weeks later.
Authorities said Royal got into an altercation with his ex-girlfriend and Denson in the parking lot before the shooting. Police charged Royal with malice murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
