Shooting Outside Georgia Barber Shop Leaves One Dead, Suspect Arrested Weeks Later

A shooting outside a Georgia barbershop left one dead and one person hurt. Now, weeks later, police said they arrested a suspect.
On Sept. 12, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 21-year-old Adolphus DeWayne Hughes Jr.
Around 12:15 a.m. on July 29, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to Next Level Kuts for an aggravated assault.
Police arrived and found two people who had been shot, according to the sheriff’s office. One victim, 38-year-old Jimmy Lee Scott III, was fatally wounded at the scene, authorities aid.

His brother, Jarel Scott, was also wounded in the incident. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
In announcing Hughes’ arrest, authorities did not say how they tied him to the case or a possible motive.
He was charged with murder and is being held in jail without bond.
