Two Georgia Teenage Siblings Arrested In Connection To Fatal Shooting

Two Georgia teenage siblings who police say gunned down a man last week were arrested, according to WBS TV.

Upon investigating, police arrested Jamarco Patton, 16, and Syn'sere Antrell Deshaun Patton, 17, who are both from Gainesville, Georgia. Police believe the duo fatally shot Christopher Dixon, 25, of Gainesville, near the 1300 block of Brown Street, which is located off Old Athens, on Nov. 9.

Dixon suffered a gunshot to the chest and was taken to the hospital, where he died from the injuries he sustained, WBS TV reported.

As police investigated, they were initially told that the two men were barricaded in an apartment at the J Building of the Harrison Square complex located on Athens Street. However, Hall County Sheriff's Office SWAT members entered the apartment and found no signs of the Pattons.

After following other leads, police were able to detain both men in the Atlanta area where the shooting took place. The men turned themselves in, according to WBS TV.

Both men are charged with felony murder aggravated battery and aggravated assault. They are being charged as adults and are being held without bond.

WBS TV reported that police have not yet determined the men's motive in connection to the crime.
